How does it work?
At Qi Shiatsu Nina uses the body’s Qi (the vital life force that flows through the body) to promote internal balance and healing. The basic premise of all Oriental Medicine is that the body is an energetic entity whose health and wellbeing are dependent on a smooth flow of Qi energy to all the internal organs, muscles, and body tissues. Qi flows throughout the body, but condenses more strongly in certain points and channels. These points and channels are known as tsubos and meridians respectively, and it is here that we can most easily access the body's Qi to manipulate its flow to promote healing and a general feeling of wellbeing.

About Nina
"Knowing that I have always had an interest in complimentory therapies, a dear friend introduced me to Shiatsu. Inspired by the improvement Shiatsu brought to my own physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, I embarked on the three year training course becoming a Human Shiatsu Practitioner in 2007. I then combined my love for Shiatsu with my love for animals, qualifying in equine Shiatsu in 2013 and canine Shiatsu in 2015. My therapies involve working with the body’s Qi, and as well as Shiatsu I am qualified in the practice of Cupping and am an established Qigong teacher trainer".
